I plugged my DVD player output into one my TiVo’s input jacks. Now when I watch a DVD, I tune my TiVo to channel 00 and see the DVD menu. It is so much easier to pause, rewind, and fast forward. The only downside is that I have to check my To Do List to make sure nothing is about to be recorded.

Even better the Humax DRT models have an integrated DVD player/recorder with all the Tivo trick play features.

That brings something to mind. I have my 540 Tivo connected to a Dish 301 and I have a dish 508 in the living room.
Unrelated side note: I bought a new DT 80 hour box but after the unexpected change in rate pricing I think it will be going back.
Anyway, the 508 has a UHF remote and I've considered distributing the RF output to all rooms. So if I tell the 540 I have OTA channnels and the Dish 508 comes in on either channel 3 or 4 will it record the other box's output just like it was a channel? But if it would the program info would be wrong, correct?
