How give my Lifetime to my sister?

I have a Series I w/Lifetime that I would like to give to my sisiter. I think she might want to transfer that Lifetimne to a new S3, too.

I assume I can give/sell the Series I and the Lifetime, but how? :confused:

I just sold one of my S2s with Lifetime to my sister. All I did was call up Customer Support and give them the TSN, her e-mail address, and mailing address.

After she received the TiVo, she was able to create her account on tivo.com and see the DVR.




Now, that's how easy it should have been. In fact, it took three calls to TiVo:

1. instead of transferring the TiVo to my sister's e-mail, they changed my e-mail to my sister's :eek:, so I was unable to login to TiVo Central Online

2. had to straighten out call #1, get my e-mail address back and transfer the one box to my sister again

3. second rep had typed my sister's e-mail address wrong, so the third call fixed that and then everything was fine

I have found it is better to have the new owner make the call, and all they need for the transfer is your name and email address as it appears on your TiVo account. Give them any more contact info and your account can get changed as previous poster found out.

FYI the unit will work fine without the transfer so there is no need to do it before setting it up at her place.
