i made a backup image of my tivo and stored it on my PC HD.

to mount the PC HD, i used these commands using the mfstools linux boot disk:

mkdir /mnt/dos
mount /dev/hda1 /mnt/dos

i used the other mfstools commands to create the backup. everything worked fine. and i've used that backup image successfully many times. i am able to see the backup tivo image from the linux prompt (ls -l). there are also a bunch of other files that are present, as well. everything looks great.

BUT when i re-boot my PC to winXP and use my PC normally, i can see no trace of that tivo backup image or any of the other files that i could see from the linux prompt.

any suggestions on making these files visible from winXP?

TIA
walter

ps. as an aside (not sure if it matters), the IDE HD i'm using is not the primary boot drive on my PC. my primary boot drive is actually a different SATA drive which is (as far as i can tell) completely invisible to linux/mfstools. but when i boot using mfstools that IDE drive shows up as the primary IDE channel.
