View Full Version : Programme guide not updating

I noticed yesterday a message on my Tivo telling me my programne guide needs updating. I forced a daily call (which, according to the status page, was successful) but still got the same message.

Today I forced another daily call, and this time watched what happened; It connected, downloaded data for a couple of minutes, then took about 1 hour saying "Loading ...", and finally finished successfully.

Everything looked fine with the update, BUT I still only have programme data out to this coming Tuesday.

Can anyone tell me what might be wrong? This is very frustrating, and I don't know what I'm going to do without my Tivo to record everything for me!

First thing to try is a reboot. Let us know if that does anything.

I power cycled the Tivo, and it now seems OK.

Interesting. That's the first time I've ever seen anything like that, and I've had my Tivo for many years.

Thanks for the (in retrospect, obvious) advice.

I don't know if this is related to the above problem, but I've also noticed that my Tivo hasn't recorded any suggestions for at least a week. Any idea what may cause that?

Don't know yet if the reboot has solved that problem (need more time...) but I just thought I'd mention it

This would probably be caused by not having any program data at all left for Channels 1 to 5 as they don't provide their data as far in advance as the satellite or Freeview only channels.

I got home from work today to find suggestions are now being recorded, so hooray!

All it took was a reboot to fix everything, and I'm a happy bunny.
