Do you know if you can increase the capacity of a tivo that has Ptvnet on the drive? Say I have an 80 gig drive with ptvnet installed and I want to add another drive. Can I use MFStool to do that just like a oem tivo drive?

I'm new to this obviously! The only reason that I would mention it is when I upgraded another tivo to two drives with MFStools it mentioned in the directions the use of an unmodifed drive. I'm assuming that a PTVnet drive is not unmodifed.

If it can be done, do you use the exact same commands to do so?

Post these questions in the Upgrade Forum. (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/forumdisplay.php?f=25)

Also: It's tempting to add a 2nd drive, but as cheap as drives are these days, you will be better off (less heat, less demand on the DTivo power supply) just getting a larger single drive.
