Hello there,

Just in case anyone is spooked by particular model manufacture locations and or dates, the following drive has taken a dirtnap on me. I discovered it with the beloved GSOD. It had been running for approximately 22 months before its death.

What do you expect for a drive with one year only warranty that is running 24/7 like they do in a TiVo.

Wow... been burned before I guess? hehe..

It had a three year warranty, I just filed the RMA.

Thanks for your input. ;)

I can't say for sure, but I think I had 3 of these drives. Definitely had 3 160gb maxtor ata/133's. 1 in my tivo, 1 in my pc. Tivo died within a year, got a replacement, that one died in a week. PC one died in about two years.
