Banner Size: Feature or Bug

If I press the Info button to display the large channel banner twice before changing channels ( be it 10 seconds apart or 10 minutes ), thereafter the channel banner remains large when I switch channels ( until reset ).

I would prefer it to remain medium ( what I set it to ) whenever changing channels.

Use the right arrow button to select the banner size you want. Just make sure the banner is removed before changing the channel.

Hi,

I would like to avoid having to use the right arrow [ twice, in my case ] each time this happens. If it is a 'bug', perhaps I can spend some time with customer support.

And just to clarify, changing the channel while the info-triggered banner is displayed isn't the cause. Press Info, wait for the banner to disappear. Press Info again, wait for the banner to disappear. Now, if you change channels, the banner is always full-size.

G-Nome I’m with you, I think it’s a bug. I set the channel banner to the medium setting for channel surfing. It some how gets set to the full banner display and I’m required to reset it back to the medium setting. Happens all the time.

Other changes I would like. When pressing the infor button for the full channel description, it times out before I’m finished reading the information. I would prefer a longer time out or no time out at all. I would prefer closing the channel description by pressing the infor button a second time.

From the now play list. When I select a program and hit the Play button the full channel description is displayed and I need to hit the clear button or let it time out. If I wanted the channel description I would have hit the select button instead. I do not want the channel banner displayed if I hit the play button.

how do i make it so the channel banner is always just the channel in the small bubble, upper righthand corner? whenever i switch it, as soon as i go back to the main menu, and back to Live TV again, it has reset to the full info screen again.

This must be a bug. I just switched to a Series 2 unit from a Series 1 unit that I've had for years and I never had this problem on the Series 1 unit. The only time the banner size would reset was after a reboot. Now it seems to reset randomly. I just tested and the double info definitely does it every time. Maybe I've just been doing that and not noticing, but it seems like it resets other times as well. Either way, it's annoying.
