Which DISH receiver should I get?

Hi All,

I'd like to set up my old trusty Series2 Tivo for my parents to use with the DISH network. Is there any specific receiver that I should buy or any receiver that I should avoid. It looks like none of these receivers can be controlled via serial port (bummer) and some of them have an inactivity mode that interferes with tivo. As it stands, I'm thinking of getting the 311 receiver.
