During boot up recently the power cut out and knocked out the Boot blocks on my Tivo drive. How do I restore them?? Is there a way to reformat the drive with MFS tools??

Maybe. Test the drive with the manufacturer's downloadable drive test utility which will let you know whether drive is dust or not.
