Tivo Package Activation

Just curious, what is the date of activation for a package purchased from tivo.com? The purchase date; ship date; another date? Its not a pressing matter so I thought I would post here rather than wait on hold with Tivo to get an answer.

Purchase date. At least that they way it works for activation of lifetime on a Humax combo unit.
