The most important function of a DVR is to allow one to watch a three hour football game in two hours by skipping the commercials and inane halftime hystrionics. but now that I have the beautiful OTA HD signal, I hate watching the SD broadcast of my locals.
Sorry, if it's been posted (I searched for timely info, but found none), but does anyone know when that update is supposed to be out?

The HR20 is not a TiVo and is therefore not covered by this forum. You'll want to visit DBSTalk.com which covers the HR20 and R15 and has a lot of good information on them.

Here's the link to that forum.

However, I'm sure someone here will announce when OTA is enabled.:)

Funny. When they tried to saddle me with a HR20 they assured me I would be able to get OTA by October at the latest. But then they didn't specify what year. (I was having none of that, and now I'm convinced I made the right decision.)

thanks, fellers. I guess that explains why i couldn't find the answer. with a move, i've been w/o DirecTV and TiVo for almost two years and it seems everything's gone to hell in a handbasket.
