Setting Reminders

I apologize if this has been addressed elsewhere, but I didn't see anything.

I just got our Tivo setup last night and was wondering about something. The wife loves the ability of the digital cable box to set reminders for shows. However, it appears as if this isn't possible with Tivo. Does anyone know if it is?

It is not possible, but that is because it is unnecessary. Tivo is designed for the user to record everything they ever watch. If you record all your programming, there is no reason to set a reminder.

Hello, Well it's good news for all of us who have Tivo, program reminders will be implemented in August this year.

I spoke to Virgin Medias technical support yesterday 12 June and was informed program reminders will be implemented in August this year. So we will have just what we had with V+HD, FreeVeiw and all other PVR's.

At this time all you do is reboot Tivo and that's it, thank goodness I really miss them.

Virgin Media are awere of the demand for them.
