Went into the Showcases menu this AM and I saw the following:
Please activate service.

Your service is not currently active. Please call 1-877-367-8486 or visit www.tivo.com/activate (faster).

Have your service number handy: 590-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX

If you have already activated your service, you can connect to the TiVo service to update your account status.
I've had lifetime for about 15 months. I hope this is just a weird glitch...

In System information it still showsTiVo Account Status: 5: Product Lifetime Service
When I try to go to Settings/Phone & Network I get this screen:
Your request could not be processed because the DVR was unable to load required data. Please try again.

(Error 126)I guess I'll try a reboot.

Is this a sign of a coming hard drive failure?

OK, with a reboot I can now get into those screens.

Another problem has cropped up, though. My entire ToDo list, with the exception of one show, is in the "Will Not Be Recorded" list, with the following explanation:This program will not be recorded because it was scheduled with a TiVo Plus feature. To upgrade to TiVo plus service go to TiVo Central and choose "How to upgrade to TiVo plus service."

I've managed to more or less fix the To-Do list by updating the SP for each show that had "none scheduled" - I just went into the SP editing screen for each show and saved it without editing. Still a bit weird - Jericho appears under "none scheduled" but it also says that the upcoming episode will be recorded...

But I'm pricing 250 GB hard disks for Chirstmas...

I have the same thing on a S2 540 after the 8.1 update.

We were gone during the weekend when the upgrade took place. My broadband connection was also down. Once I reset the router and restarted TiVo all worked. The system went through a 35 minute re-indexing too.
