HDVR2 remote dead/cable disconnect?

After completing a disk upgrade for my HDVR2, my tivo remote doesn't work (works fine with TV, but not received by the Tivo).

I strongly suspect this is as a result of the infamous white cable being dislodged (I tried to boot & it failed...then it booted okay after I reseated the cable...but there may be a bent pin).

I know dislodging the cable is bad...has anyone had a similar experience? Is there a fix? Perhaps replacing the cable???

I don't know if this applies to your rcvr. but when I put a larger disk in my HR10-250 using PTV software, I found that it defaults to remote code 1 (I think), which is different than the one I had previously assigned to the unit.

The fix was using the front panel buttons on the rcvr. to change the remote code.
