My cable company broadcasts my premium HD movie channels on two different channels. When I record the HD channels from the lower end of the spectrum they don't show up in my HD folder, but when I record the same thing from the upper end, they do. It's not a big deal, but it seems strange the series 3 can't recognize the one feed as HD and group it accordingly. Any thoughts?

The TiVo get the HDTV flag from the guide data.. The lower channel must not have that info in the guide.. Take a look at the recodeing and where it usually says comedy etc.. you should see "HDTV" if not then the TiVo will not add it into the HDTV folder..

The guide info is exactly the same on both channels. It shows both as being broadcast in 1080i, so I'm not so sure it's a flag problem. The HD feeds of my local affiliates as well as Discovery HD and other various HD channels are all located in the same area in the lower spectrum. It's only the movie channels HBO Cinemax Starz and Showtime that don't show up in the folder.

A couple of mine are like that too. My local PBS HD station is one. It broadcasts in HD (720p I think) yet doesn't have the HD flag in the guide. The Tivo recognizes what resolution it is and everything, it is just missing the flag so it doesn't get sorted in my "HD Recordings" among other things.

Personally I find that folder useless. hope that they make it so we can shut it off.

I like having it.. if anything it should be an option to turn off..

Personally I'd love to be able to limit suggestions to hdtv content... (or at least prefer hdtv content)
