View Full Version : Red Light on LED won't go out

About a week ago I noticed that one of the red lights that usually indicate a program being recorded was on but there was no program listed next to it. I ignored it but it never went away. Last night I rebooted the machine but to my surprise it came right back on after the reboot had completed.

Any idea what's causing this?

If you have suggestions set to automatically record, that's probably it. They only light the LED... no title displayed.

If the unit is in standby the OLED's don't light up.

You get the red LED saying it's recording something, but no title.

Clock doesn't show in standby either.

When's the last time you saw yours go into standby immediately on its own after a manual reboot? I know mine's never done that.

If you check the now playing or the To Do list, I can't remember which, you will see that TiVo is recording suggestions. It doesn't show the program name on the display when recording suggestions.

I wondered if that was it (just too lazy to figure it out myself.) Thank you all !

I'm a brand new TiVo user and noticed the exact same behavior - kinda freaked me out. A random record led on the front panel with no program name and nothing in the "To Do List" to explain it. For as good of a UI as they've designed, this feature needs a little enhancing.

Other than that, it's been a very cool addition to our HD set!!
