RadioShack TiVo tv commercial

Anybody else see this? Pretty lame.

That's the first time I ever recall seeing any tv spot advertising Tivo.

(Daily Show was on in the background and I heard the familiar tivo sounds. Made me get up to see what the heck was going on. :D )

yeah i just saw it a bit ago and it freaked me out...lol i had been watching live tv that i had just rewound and i thought my tivo was freaking out...lol

It was on his TV, why would he have a link?

Maybe some ambitious individual will post it on You Tube so we can judge the lameness for ourselves.

The fast forward didn't seem 'authentic', too smooth compared to what a TiVo really does.

Fooled my wife though - she thought I was playing around with the remote, since I'm in charge of skipping the commercials (and looking for the ones we're interested in).

Better than nothing, but certainly could've been better.

The commercial startled me as well. I've had the tivo sound effects turned off for quite a while now, but when I heard it, I thought, "oh man, another bug in 8.1" It is still a little strange though, although it only happens on the occasion I watch live tv.

I didn't think it was as lame as some previous TiVo commercials have been. I appreciate Radio Shack putting forth the effort. They're doing a lot more than Bad Buy and Circrap City are doing.

I have it recorded from Monday night 8pm showing of the Daily Show on the Comedy channel. You want it?

I saw it yesterday on CBS.
Unsure what program, but pretty sure it was prime time.

Looked over the commercial rundowns for tonight,
and I don't see any Radio Shack commercials in prime tonight on CBS.

Yea, I just saw it last night for the first times as well. It freaked me out too. I had my tivo sounds disabled for a while as well. I saw it on INHD1 (ch 291 in Raleigh NC) while watching the Hurricanes Vs the Rangers last night. Oops, I mean watched the Rangers kill the Hurricanes in 4-0 game :mad: . INHD1 was running the Versus channel in HD.

I remember when family guy had a TIVO moment on their show, where the show started skipping around (I think it was family guy). I thought my TIVO was going insane on me.

Agreed on the first count, but then Radio Shack=lame.

And I agree with punditguy, it looks like a TiVo commercial inserted into a commercial for HDTVs and the fact that they're SD TiVos make it all the more confusing.

But, I'm old school and I remember the Santa as Alabama football fan and the field goal praying guy commercials, along with the more high profile Joe Montana/Ronnie Lott spot. All of those were better than the Rat Shack spot.

I saw it on last night's "Whose Line is it Anyway" on ABC Family.

I just want to know how they're fast forwarding live TV.... there's no green to the right of the indicator, and yet, it's FFing.... :)
