this stinks. my wife and I went out to do a little Christmas shopping and returned to find that the extremely stormy weather we've been having tonight prevented about 10 minutes of The Office from being recorded. How can I get the entire episode? I know I can download it from iTunes but how can I get it and be able to watch it on our TV in the living room?

Download it from iTunes, put it on your iPod video, hook iPod to TV, and play.

That's one way.

Or, get a torrent and convert it to DVD-Video and burn to DVD. (or, if you have a player that can play AVIs with DivX, just burn the downloaded file to a CD and play it directly)

The long "The Office" caused me to miss "The O.C.". Now, I need to get it. I can watch it on-line. But the Fox player doesn't work on a Mac.

The Office is AMAZING. It is actually the single greatest show of its generation. I'll tell you what, you buy this episode and if it does not meet, nay, EXCEED your wildest expectations, then you can hold me, Jesda Gulati, personally responsible.

Same thing here. I didn't think to make sure that NBCs dumb ass "supersized Thursday" wouldn't mess things up for me. Sure enough, I go to watch the Office, and it is not there. Earl is there. 30 Rock is there. Office...not so much.

I am beyond angry about this. The only thing I can really do is download it from iTunes tomorrow & watch it on my computer.

I checked. The TiVo had the right info for The Office and it was in the To Do list. Right start time, right duration. For good measure, I padded it 5 minutes.

What I FORGOT to do was check recording history to see what it might NOT record because of this. I totally blanked and forgot The O.C. came on on Thursday. I think last week's "2-for-1" week may have thrown me a bit. I would ahve been able to watch O.C. live.

I will just pull it from bit torrent in HD and stream to my 360.

It takes a bit of time. This seems to be normal.

If you had something set to record at 9 ET, that would make sense, but if your TiVo recorded 30 Rock, I can't see what would have caused it to miss The Office, unless you had padding set on The Office and it's a lower priority than either Earl or 30 Rock.
