View Full Version : Yahoo! TV can't see my new Tivo

For a while, I've been using the Yahoo TV to Tivo link to schedule recordings directly from Yahoo.
Recently, I purchased a Tivo Series 3 and added it to my account. I also checked the options for remote scheduling in the Tivo account manager.
The Yahoo Tivo settings page (http://tv.yahoo.com/onlinesch/tivo/settings) displays my old Series 2 box, but when I click the "Update DVR List" link my Series 3 unit never appears.
Is anyone else having this problem? Where would I report this problem to Tivo? Calling the 1-800 number doesn't seem appropriate.
Thanks.

I had the same problem. To get it to work I was forced to cancel the Tivo subcription and re-register on the Yahoo Tivo settings page.

Heh, tried that. (cancel/reregister)
My series 3 showed up -- twice in the list. So I clicked "Update DVR List" and then both entries went away, only the Series 2 box remaining.
Tried to cancel and re-register again, but when I click on the register link, I get the error "Sorry, but we encountered an error while processing your request. Please try again later."
So far, this has not been very successful.

Restarted my browser, was able to sign up again. My Series 3 shows up twice in the list again. Didn't click the update link this time. I did select the button to match online listings to those of my DVR.
I can now successfully schedule a recording on the S3. Next, I'll check to see that the unit actually picks up the program.
I'll remember not to click that "update DVR list" link in the future.

My Series 3 shows up twice in the list also. I thought it was because my S3’s channels are setup for antenna+cable. Yahoo’s TV listing doesn’t merge the two together, so I thought it was listing each separately. I can’t schedule my OTA channels because Yahoo doesn’t have the digital OTA channels in their guide which is a bummer because I record most of my HD OTA.

Did the same thing to me.
Yahoo doesn't show digital OTA so it's of no use to me anyway.
