I have a tivo s3 with dual tuner cards, and started experiencing problems such as my regular channels were going out. I decided to reboot the system threw the settings area. After the reboot i got duplicate channels:
Chanel 21: Shark
Chanel 21: Regular Scheduling
Chanel 22: Show 1
Chanel 23: Regular Scheduling
Chanel 24: Show 2
Chanel 24: Regular Scheduling

you get the point.....
When i click on channel 21 i goto and receive channel 21 (shark). When i go up i goto channel 21 again but receive information displaying Regular Scheduling....

Any helpful hints or help would be awesome. I'm currently trying to get this resolved with tivo, so if i figure out a fix for it i will let you guys know...
Thanks

Do you have both cable and OTA? Sounds to me like you are getting one show from each source. If you only have one source, I'm not sure why it would be like that.

Check in "Channels you receive" to see if you have a "21 ant" and a "21 cbl" entry.

I'm getting the same thing (it started yesterday). I've got two regular cable cards care of Time Warner.

Also, some of the channels have gone screwy. Channel 32 ("Regular Scheduling") shows Food Network), but Channel 32 is blank, and I'm getting MSNBC World on Channel 20, not KLRU2 (an Austin PBS station)

I've reatarted the S3, I've unpluuged both cable cards, and repeated the guided seup without any luck.

There have been several threads reporting duplicated channel listings. The only thing common to all is cablecards - so this must be a bug related to how Tivo pulls the channel mappings from cable cards in certain headend systems. What's strange though is repeating guided setup reportedly cleared up the issue temporarily according to one thread I remember reading about.

Definately an issue that should be reported repeatedly to Tivo to send them a clear message this seems to be a pretty widespread issue. You'll undoubtedly get the runaround "never heard of that one before" type response from the CSR...

I had the same problem with my s3 with comcast. I took the card back and exchanged it and I have no more trouble with it.

Just started getting double channel listings for all of the standard non-digital channels. Single listing for channels above the standard channel listings though...odd.

Oh, Comcast is my provider.

I wish someone at tivo had a fix they could push out to us, as it seems there are plenty of people having this problem. When i contacted tivo they informed me they have been hearing issues related to this problem, but it is not a big enough problem to come out with a fix for it yet....

They told me the fix for this was go through the guide and remove each double listing or reset the entire tivo, loose all my season passes and recorded shows... either way it is a pain in my but....

$1,000 including a lifetime transfer and they cant even fix a double listing problem?
Im not sure how much i agree with this...

Same problem here! After several weeks of bliss, I now have 2 of the TiVo bugs: spontaneous reboots and duplicate channel listings. I am starting to get a bad case of buyers remorse.

Well my TiVo S3 is now displaying triple (3) guide listing for several of my digital HD channels. At the rate it is going I will be up 4 listing for each of these channels by the end of the week.

Fixed my toxic channel rebooting with a reset of my cablecards and now I'm getting duplicate non-hd channels in my guide. Try to un-select them in channel list, but they keep coming back.
