Hi there,

Noticed something weird w/ my new series 3 today. I've been viewing SD channels in full mode on my 16x9 plasma. My girlfriend prefers to view in panel mode.

problem is, when switching to panel mode using the aspect button the tivo remote, you can see the ghost of what was there before in the sides...

anyone else notice this? cycling thorugh the aspect button shows the new ghost of whatever was on the screen while in full or zoom mode... (only way to clear it is to pause tivo on a black screen and cycle through the aspect button..

I've tried this on both 720p and 720p hybrid...

Have you tried changing the panel colors? Are they currently grey or black?
Try switching panel colors.

They're currently set to black.. i'll try gray.. (although I wouldn't be comfortable w/ a gray background)

yep, this happens on my LCD TV as well. It's an Tivo and/or Comcast cable-card issue. Not a burn-in problem. I see it when changing SD channels as well. After the Tivo channel/ program info bar disappears, a ghost image of that bar remains in the black side panels until you cycle into the TV menu and back again.

Anyone know what causes this? Perhaps a problem with the black levels when the Tivo displays SD?
