Soyo 32" LCD TV and Tivo remote codes

I purchased a Go Video (soyogroup) 32” LCD TV and the Tivo remote has no codes for the unit. I called Tivo and directv (I have both units) and they both said there are no codes for this TV. Does anyone have any experience getting newer LCD TV’s to work with the tivo remote?

If it doesn't respond to the proton or LG tv codes then you're out of luck. There are some soyo tvs that don't, and there are just no codes for those models in any universal or oem remote. You might think of the new S3 peanut remote, it has a learning feature, you can teach the power, vol & mute to the S3 peanut. You can buy it from tivo.com

Thank You for the info. I just ordered the Tivo GLO premium backlite remote remote. Is that the remote you are talking about? It has the learning feature.
