"Tivo needs to change channel" notifications?

I seem to recall that my series2 used to warn me that it was about to change my channel to go record something. I'd get that little pop-up that said, "I need to change the channel to record _________." And then I could accept or not.

On my new series3, it just changes the channel without prompt. This is especially annoying because I'm currently allowing tivo suggestions to record automatically. So, I'll be watching live TV and then suddenly the tivo changes the channel without warning and starts recording a show that I have not subscribed to... Is there a menu setting somewhere or did tivo remove the feature?

It's a bug - there have been lots of complaints about it. The funny thing is that it does ask when it's a show you actually asked it to record.

My s3 used to ask to switch channels but it doesn't anymore, it doesn't switch at all. It just starts recording on the other tuner. But if I'm watching live tv on tuner1 and recording on tuner2 and something is scheduled to start recording, it kicks me to tuner2 while it is still recording and starts the new recording on tuner1. I don't auto record suggestions so it does this with my requested recordings.
