I went a week with no sound dropouts, and I was hoping maybe it was somehow fixed, by magic. HA!
I have my own repeating dropout happen at the same exact time each week. At 10pm of Friday, I have Tivo set to record 2 shows, Numbers and Law & Order, on HD network stations. Each week, the CBS-HD station looses sound JUST as these 2 shows begin to record. I stop the faulty recording, and CBS HD still has no sound, until I fool around, changing stations, popping in and out of menus on the Tivo. Then sound comes back, and I CAN then hit record, and it records the 2 shows at same time, with sound. I can only think it is a problem occuring because both shows begin at same time, and Tivo gets overwhelmed or something. Now, at other times I record 2 shows, with no problems.
Next week, I am going to try having one show begin recording a minute early, or a minute late, and see if that helps.
And yes, I have the short dropouts while using the program guide, but that does not really bother me. I have also had a dropout or two at other times, but only once or twice in the last month........ Almost every dropout for me has been with CBS HD (out of NYC)
