Front Panel - Recording Suggestions

Is it normal that the front panel OLED is not showing the name of the program it is recording if it's a tivo suggestion? What's the point of this if I have to turn on the tv to see what it's recording?

Yes, that's the way it is.

It's a Suggestion. Your NPL list isn't empty, anyway (is it :eek: ). If you plan to watch some TV, turn it on, watch something from the NPL (including a Suggestion, if you prefer).

I prefer it this way! Seeing two scheduled shows recording simultaneously may lead me to postpone an unplanned channel-surf session and go get some excercise instead. All hail TiVo the health-conscious DVR!

This is just my opinion, but I never feel the need to know what suggestions its recording. If nothing in my new playing list interests me, I will look at suggestions, but otherwise, I rarely look.

I'd almost turn off the front panel completely, but I think it looks cool. :cool:

I guess since my tivo is brand new, I wanted to see all the cool features at once. I guess once I get used to it, I won't care about the suggestions. Probably won't have room for them anyway until I upgrade the HDD. Just wish the clock was bigger. Got used to the clock on my old cable DVR, now I can't read the one on the tivo from where I sit.
