Is it just me, or is this page not working? Does anyone have a link to a functional CW website?
I tried creating a profile and it will still not let me in, so frustrating!

I think it's the site. I registered, received the email, confirmed, and am unable to log in as well.

I think the "official" URL is:
www.thecw.tv

I just registered and got in. I tried signing in on the main page and it didn't take, but followed the link to the lounge, chose "ANTM" and then signed in and it let me in. Hopefully that will work for you as well (of course, you should be able to choose whichever show you're interested in, not just ANTM). ;0)

I registered and signed in without any problem. I'm not sure what benefit you get by registering, other than being allowed to post stuff in the forums, because the site is otherwise "functional" for me even without signing in.

I just tried it again, this time it signed me in, but the page is still not loading...

Maybe you have an issue with the Flash stuff? It works fine for me, and I don't need to sign in to see anything. At least I don't think so.

I tried doing it this way, and YAH! it worked! :)

WOOHOOO! I'm so glad it worked for you too! You'd think they'd fix it, but thank goodness we found another way in.
BTW, is Gilmore Girls as good as it's always looked like it was? I always liked the actress that plays the mom, but I think there were scheduling conflicts for a while that kept me from watching. I don't think there is anymore, so am considering checking it out...

GG used to be very good and is still pretty good. Check out the S1 DVDs.
Lauren Graham is the actress who plays Lorelai the mom. She's fantastic.

If I start now rather than getting the DVDs (I hate buying tv shows on DVD...watch 'em once and then what?), will I still follow what's going on?

What do you get by registering?

Not even close, IMO. Go from the beginning, but don't jump in now.

The only benefit that I know of with registering is using the forums (which I'll avoid since I've got this one and the ANTM forum there seems to be full of opinions polar opposite of mine, so I'd probably be tarred and feathered, lol). I think there was something where you could sign up for their updates and CW news or something when you registered too, but I didn't do it, so not sure what benefit that is. ;0)

I forgot to mention that the ABC Family Channel (http://abcfamily.go.com/home.html) is repeating old seasons of GG. They just started re-running season one, so if you get that channel, set the TiVo. I think GG runs once a day, maybe twice a day.
GG is not a complicated show, so even if you started watching the current season (7) on the CW, you will be able to follow the stories pretty easily. But the early season repeats on the Family Channel will be much better than the current season.
The ABC Family Channel is also running repeats of the late great Everwood, which I like even more than GG. The characters on Everwood talk more like real people, but it's not as funny as GG, which is more comedy than drama (and gets classified as a comedy at awards-time).

The characters on Everwood talk more like real people [...] I only saw Season 1 (on DVD) and Season 4 (live), so I'm happy ABCFC is running Everwood now. This is my only chance to catch up on the in-between years! I believe Season 2 starts today.
And oh yeah...
Burn in hell WB CW!

Awesome! Thank you for letting me know this! I just set up a SP for it and am thrilled to get to start near the beginning. Thanks again!!

Just wanted to say thank you to those who recommended GG! OMG, I've just finished watching 2 of the episodes from S1 (Rory's bday ep. and her first kiss). I already am in love with this show! Love the sarcasm and wish my daughter wasn't so busy with homework all the time so we could watch it together. The few minutes she came down and ate lunch while I was watching made her say "Mom! That's us!". Too funny. ;0)
