So I missed the first 2 or so hours of Ghost Hunters LIVE. I thought that my SP would catch it, but I was so busy the last few days I forgot to double check. I would have never guessed it was a 6 hour special.
As a Denver native, I have heard the tales of the Stanley.
If anyone would PLEASE PM me if they have recorded this showing, I would be utterly grateful!!!!!!
I am hoping that this will be something that SciFi will show again, but for some reason I am doubting it.
Thanks!

Well, I "thought" I had tivoed it but lo and behold, when I checked this morning, it didn't record because the program wasn't in the program guide. WTH? I remember it originally aired at 10:05, and I checked back at it now says 10:00. I guess that screws it up.
Did anything ever happen?

It's on my tivo, but unwatched. I hope it isn't "paid programming".

Is the Stanley the Shining hotel???
Bingo.
Well, after some online looking, I read here and there on the SciFi forums and some others that it was basically 6 hours of seemingly fake and setup incidents, and very boring, most said. They also had a wrestler from the new "wrestling" show that SciFi just added to their lineup, so it was 6 hours of promo tied right into the show.
On a side note, they will be cutting the live show from last night down and doing a "Highlight" hours ling show next week. I think I'll watch that. I am not a huge fan of the show myself (I think it is getting more and more set up each episode) but I don't know if I can stand 6 hours of those guys bickering and so on.
Still, that being said, if anyone has the full enchilada recorded, please PM me!

Is the Stanley the Shining hotel???
Well it's the one from the Book, I think King stayed in the hotel while he wrote the book. The hotel in the movie The Shining, is actually a hotel near Mt. Hood, at least the exterior were, the interior of the hotel were a set.
I wasn't going to pick this up either, for some reason it showed up as a Special or something like that, and not a Ghost Hunters episode.

Hmm...I thought they already went to that hotel a year or two ago and filmed it??
We don't have the Sci-Fi channel anymore so we don't get GH anymore, but it was kind of getting old last season watching them banter on and on for an hour and end up with nothing 99% of the time...

They did go to the same hotel last season I think. But they have gone back to the same place before when it was somewhere they got a lot of hits.
It's like I told a friend of mine, if they did get some kind of activity every show, it would seem less believable to me (ie. "Celebrity Paranormal Project"). I'm on the fence about whether it's all set up or not, but if they found activity on every single episode and never debunked anything, I probably would have given up on it a long time ago.
I do agree that it seems there has been a lot more activity so far this season, which unfortunately makes me think there's some faking going on for the sake of the cameras.

Or they're just shooting a lot more, so they have more to choose from on what to air. Does anyone know if they go and shoot investigations that never air? I bet they do.
