I think the correct word would be prequel.

Dunno. Any show with a 'lawyer' as the moral hero rings the skepticism bell.

It makes sense though considering the moral questions that would need to be asked when you invent a new non human life form.

I don't have time to search but we've had a thread about this over a year ago...it's great news, but it's old news ;)

Please excuse the heck out of me. I did check before I posted though.
Thanks for reminding me why I quit posting anything here at all for a while.

It's interesting that this is finally happening. When this first came about, the discussion was that Sci-Fi generally announces all of their pie-in-the-sky plans, but most often doesn't follow through. Delivery on a script order is a pretty big deal ...

Yeah, 'cause a lawyer could never have morals, right?

I think they should have the "big corporation a la Microsoft" named Skynet. ;)

do you think the fact that you're hyper-sensitive and easily offended had anything to do with that decision?
I meant nothing disparaging by my comment...since this is a topic many people are interested in, I assumed they would want to read the old thread as well...

Oh, come on! With a name like "Anubys," everybody KNOWS you did it just to be evil!
With bad spelling...

damn...no clever comeback comes to mind...
p.s. I'll save you the trouble: yes, it's very normal for me not to think of anything clever to say... :p

Damn. I'm not usually a sci-fi guy, in fact, BSG is the only show I've ever watched on Sci Fi (other than Firefly reruns). But now if they make "Caprica," I might be forced to keep watching this network.

at least.
I have enough faith in Moore to not bite off more than is possible to keep track of.
I just hope the quality can continue into this new series. I also hope that with it being more "sci-fi soap opera" it doesn't mean that it will land on NBC... The edge is what makes BSG a great show. NBC would dull that edge. Big time.

Moore wouldn't be doing "Caprica", he already said that he is consulting, but that there are other people developing and overseeing the project.
