It's somewhat endearing to see Dexter driven to help someone. And pretty amusing when he paused for a moment with the couple to question them about love.

He really should be wearing gloves when dumping the body bags overboard. And really he should be chopping them up better, too. Him being that sloppy seems out of character.

He said he was pressed for time, since he hadn't planned to do two.

I had my disbelief de-suspended a bit during the "Terms of Endearment" scene. It was funny, but it's one thing for him to lack empathy, and another to be totally clueless. Other than that, good ep.

I'm really interested to see what comes of the "eye in the trunk" watching him load up the bags into his trunk.

I think we can dump the sister and the angry black man as possible Ice Truck Killers.
They were both in the room with the security guard, and he didn't even flinch.

We've never seen the girlfriend sucking lozenges either, nor clearing her throat.
In fact, we've yet to meet anyone with chronic throat problems.

Unless of course, the lozenges are a misdirect by the killer.

He did get quite sloppy adding the 2nd victim, as shown by the previews.
He has cops at "his" crime scene, which it seems has never happened before, and they mention his "signature", the cut on the cheek
I told myself I'd stop watching "next week on's", but it just happened.

I think the eye in the trunk is the kid from the group home not the ice truck killer. I think it was a red herring for us and the kid is trying to get Dexter's attention because he needs "educated".

I know it seems like to obvious but I thought the doctor from the hospital could be the ice truck killer but you never know.

The eye in the trunk did appear to be looking wildly around making it more likely in my mind that it's a kid.
