View Full Version : My 6.3 issues...

Ok, here is my list of 6.3 bugs -

1. Audio Drop outs. Only on FOX via OTA. I don't use the SD channels so I am not sure.

2. Unit freezes up every few days

3. If I try to fast foward @ 1x, the video will pause after a few frames. 2-3x FF work fine.

4. Sometimes during FF, the FF will not stop when you hit play or pause.

This supposed upgrade is such a piece of CRAP! I was happy and trouble free before the upgrade.

I will see if I can get another unit as mine is lease and I have the protection plan.

I am convinced that D* released 6.3 with bugs to get everyone to move the the HR20. If that did not have issues and OTA was enabled, I might anyways. I am not stuck on having TIVO. Just a realiable, bug-free, trouble free unit!

Except for some minor studdering on HD CBS mine is fine also.

No problems here - upgrading to 6.3 was a no brainer for us.

The only issue I have is audio dropout on fox OTA. This seems fixable if I switch my audio setting to PCM output suggested in other topics. Strange that it's only FOX OTA...

Mine is misfiring on DD and PCM, but only on FOX OTA.

I have dropouts on all the local OTAs. They don't last long though

I get poping on NBC OTA. But no drop outs
Fox I get audio drop outs
All other HD's are fine

NO issue here on 6.3a...all content provided through D* tv..no OTA but this release has been great. Love the folders and MUCH faster all around. No more reboots that were just starting to plauge my third HR10-250! I'm ok with it...so far~

I had lots of audio dropouts prior to 6.3 and after I have less!! Go figure...

As for other issues - NONE.

My only new problems with 6.3a are ....

1. 8-sec audio drops on OTA HDTV channels, mostly local Fox channel.

2. 1x FF speed sometimes pauses playback. 2x/3x work fine.
