I'm having audio problems that started recently, and I don't know if it's related to my upgrade to 6.3. The timing would be awfully coincidental if not.
Setup: digital output from HR10-250 to a Marantz dolby-digital capable receiver. Recording in Dolby Digital. Output tried using both DD and DD2PCM without effect.
The other reports here are talking about OTA only. I get the problem on any channel at any time. The symptom is that the receiver/amplifier "click", activating the breaker that typically indicates an overload of some kind. It's very strange, and I haven't had this happen before.
I'm fairly certain that it's an overload issue, because if I lower the volume it doesn't happen. But the volume is already pretty low -- I'm definitely not pumping too many watts, not even close.
Also, if I rewind then the dropout will always recur at exactly the same spot, so it is reproducible.
My next step is to try with an analog RCA cable instead of the digital cable, and see what happens. Ironically, HD OTA channels are less likely to have the audio problem than SD channels.
So, is this the upgrade?
Thanks!
