Export Tivo Series 2 program to DVD?

Hi all,

I've looked around on these boards, but I'm incredibly overwhelmed. Sorry to bother if this is a silly question.

I'm a history professor, and would love to transfer a show I taped on Greek history to a CD or DVD which I could then show my students.

Is there any way I can transfer the show from my Tivo to my harddrive (you have to use Tivo To Go, and the show is in .tivo format, right?), and then convert that show into something the computer/projector in my classroom can playback (.avi or .mpg or .wmv maybe?)?

You can use any number of tools that are made to author DVDs, including the Sonic MyDVD recommended by TiVo. There are plenty of other tools available. You should also read through this thread that has a fairly simple way of creating DVDs: http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?t=300614
