Files transfered from my Tivo to My computer have poor sound quality

I dotn know if anyone else is having trouble with this. I couldn't seem to find anything listed here. When I transfer shows from my Tivo to my computer the sound is kind of wierd. It has alot of high pitches and scratchy sounds. Anybody know how to fix this.
I'm sure there is a thread on this but I cant find it any where.
