Is Tivo Running Up Your Phone Bill !!

Had a chuckle from article in chicago sun times in a column called " The Fixer". Seems like a senior noticed he was being charged for phone calls he claims he never made on his Comcast phone line. Come to fine out it was his Tivo making the calls at all hours! Comcast said his Tivo was not hooked up properly.As a senior myself :( , I can kinda relate. We do have our senior moments. HEY WAIT!!. Have to go and check my phone bill!! See YA! :D

Lots of folks here and at other forums have their units hacked to avoid the need for a phone line. You've just provided a good excuse why we should leave them that way. :D

Must be that the OPs senior citizen is paying on a per call basis.
