View Full Version : TiVo Series 2 240-0000-XXXX: USB 2.0 or 1.1?

I am using the Linksys USB-Ethernet adapter sold on the TiVo website. Transfer speed seems to indicate that my box is only using USB 1.1.

240 is USB 2.0 but your adapter may be 1.1 What is the adapter model number?

Linksys USB200M v.2 10/100 Ethernet USB adapter purchased from the TiVo store.

If you are talking about TiVo-To-Go, the limiting factor is the CPU on the TiVo, not the maximum usb transfer speed.

I am not sure what you mean. I am transferring my recordings to my PC using TiVo Desktop. The TiVo is connected to my home network using the adapter I specified above. My PC is using a Wireless G adapter.

USB 2.0 = 480Mb/s
Ethernet = 100Mb/s
Wireless G = 54Mb/s

So I would expect the speed to be under 54Mb/s but not 6Mb/s which is what I am really getting.
