Anyone else have a very slow TiVo?

I started noticing it on my old Series2. I then saw the special on the Humax and got one of those. It is slow too. If I hit guide, it can take anywhere from 10 to 15 seconds to come up. Same with the TiVo button. Any ideas?

The slowdown is a well known bug in the current version of Tivo software. We're all hoping and praying for a fix in the next release .. but who knows when that will be.

What has worked for me was upgrading the hard drive to a Seagate 7200rpm hard drive w/ 16mb cache. I don't know if it was the 7200 rpm or the 16mb cache part that helped out tremendously, but its operating pretty darn quickly these days.

If you're having hard drive issues, you should look into an upgrade ASAP. Look for deals on fatwallet or in the upgrade forum here. But don't wait too long!
