sony series 2 tivo question

I bought a used series 2 sony tivo intending to set it up on a security camera at my business... unfortunently I didn't realize that you have to subscribe to the tivo service to record on the thing. basically makes it useless for me. does anyone know if there is a way around this????????

Get a Series 1 made before October 2001. There is nothining discussable here to make a Series 2 work without servcie, as that is considered theft of service here.
