how can i go about migrating to a new tivo? my old series1 is pretty well programmed and knows me well. can i dump the old tivo's brain to a new tivo?

i got rid of the land line, so the old tivo can't get program updates. i've been eyeing the dual tuners, and this seems like a good time. but, i don't want to have to re-train a tivo.... to complicate matters, tivo won't let me see the season pass list since it's run out of program info, so i can't just copy it down and re-enter it. and that doesn't include all the thumbs up/down i've made.

thanks,

i guess i'll be manually transferring or recreating things. is this what other people have done when replacing a tivo?

since the tivo hasn't been able to make a daily call, how can i see my list of season passes? the tivo won't go through the normal way until it's made a daily call.

also, is there any way to get a list of my thumbs up/down so that i can add them to the new tivo?

thanks for the help!

You cannot see the Season Passes if your subscription is not working. This would be the case if it has not made a daily call. If you really want to see them, find someone with a landline you can use to make the daily call (assuming your subscription is still active with TiVo).

I do not know of any way to list the thumbs. However, it really does not take TiVo too long to learn your watching habits.
