Okay guys, I have perused multiple threads and haven't seen this mentioned. I have had a couple of spontaneous reboots and am having the audio dropouts exactly as everyone has mentioned on the Fox OTA channels; however I am having another problem...

This probably sounds silly but if I use the single fast forward speed on my ABC OTA channel, it FF for about 1-2 seconds and then pauses. You can hit FF again and it will jump to two times speed and then up to three if you hit it again. You can hit play and it will resume. You can RR one, two or three times speed normally. But if you just hit a single FF speed it pauses....every time. And it doesn't play, fast forward or do anything else until you hit something. I let it sit for 30 minutes like this paused.

Did some experimenting. I happens on Tivo'd programs both recorded before and after receiving the software update. It happens if watching live TV on the ABC OTA channel if you rewind a bit and then single FF. It does not happen on any other channel that I have found including the other OTA channels.

Obviously I never had this problem before the 6.3a upgrade. And by the way....I went down to my dad's house down the street....same thing happening with his upgraded unit...only on the ABC OTA channels. Does anyone want to give this a try and see if they are finding the same thing?

I swear it is absolutely befuddling that they don't adequately test this frickin' software before they send it out. How could they? Nobody else encountered these problems during the testing phase? Un...be...lievable

I've had that problem show up many times in the last year. Well, thats a guess at the time frame. With me its usually on HDNET. So, of course thats with both versions of the software its happen with me. I've read about it before also, not sure when or what thread, but not sure you can blame that on 6.3a.

Just tried it on ABC7 OTA in San Francisco bay area and didn't see this problem with FF. Also tried it with satellite HD channels and they are OK, too. I do have 6.3a.

This was happening on the old software on HDNET. 1x FF worked fine, 2x and 3x would sometimes cause the system to pause. You just have to 1x FF for about a minute and then it clears the problem area and 2x/3x woork again.

This might be related to the 30s skip not working correctly with some stations, first noticed with HDNet. See the 30s skip becomes 5s skip thread.

I don't think this is a 6.3 thing - I had the same thing happen for a while with NBC's Sunday night football game a few weeks ago when I was still on 3.xx

6.3a actually corrected a FF issue that I ran into mostly with programs on HDNet. On 3.1.5f, I would be FF (either 1, 2, or 3) and it would just stop at about the 11:00 mark. I would have to drop into PLAY for about 1 minute then I could continue my FF. Now with 6.3a, I have had no problem at all with FF.

just called a friend here in town and his is doing the same thing. i am not saying a bunch of people across the country have it, but that is three of us here in oklahoma city with the problem ONLY ON LOCAL OTA ABC channel. there is obviously some kind of problem with what this particular station is sending out and how the HR10-250 interacts with it AFTER the upgrade. none of us had the problem previously...
