Series2 - DirecTV IR problems

Finally convinced my wife to dump the cable and go to satellite. Pulled out the original box Dtv sent me (DSX 5500) and the IR would not change the channel on the receiver. Did some research here and found incompatibility issues between the two so Dtv sent me a new box. Hooked it up, still won't change the channel.

Here's my question, Dtv says the box they sent (D11 500) is made by them but Tivo still can't change the channel. Anybody else experience this and have a solution?

I've done the research here and have spent 2 days trying to resolve it myself (character flaw) but can't seem to find any answers. I'll be happy with just a link if you have one.

Also, make sure that the IR blaster is plugged into the IR jack on the TiVo and not the similar serial jack.

Thanks for the info wscannell. I have checked this link out before but the only DirecTV boxes are D10's and I have the new D11.

The code for the latest DirecTv boxes is 10074-B.

You might look into a TV translator from patersontech.
