This morning I turned on the TV and my HR10-250 did something it has never done before. I hit the down arrow button to switch from tuner 1 to tuner 2. It switched over, but the machine got stuck on the OTA channel on tuner 2. It was playing normally, but the program information as well as the time status bar along the bottom of the screen were stuck. I could not change channels or get it to respond to any other buttons. I wasn't recording anything, downloading data, or anything else that could have caused it to get confused. As much as I wished to avoid it, I finally pulled the plug and let the system reboot itself. After that it worked normally. I don't know if this can be attributed to the 6.3 upgrade or not. I do know that nothing like this has ever happend during the past 18 months with version 3.1. :(

What amazes me is that as soon as something happens it's automatically attributed to 6.3. Hey my wife left me, it must be because of the 6.3 upgrade. She loved me before I got the update, two days after the update she left me. The HR10-250 is like any computer. Sometimes things happen for no reason. My computer will freeze, rarely, but it could happen. What do I do, I should immedately call Dell and tell them there is something wrong with their computer. No I reboot and go on with my day.

Like I said, I am not sure this is attributable to 6.3, but it is very suspicious that all these problems start happening right after 6.3 is installed. Just because it is a computer doesn't mean we should just say, "Oh well, it's just a computer, it's supposed to have problems that require reboots."

Mine did exactly the same thing right after getting the 6.3 update. I too had to pull the plug to manually reboot. Now it reboots all on its own.

-And this required no real 'training' on your part at all?

I have had the exact same problem on my 6.3a machine. I have never seen it on my 3.1.5f machine.
