Tivo remote died

Hi, I'm on vacation, and I brought an old Series 1 Tivo with me. After a couple of days, the remote just stopped working. I swapped batteries, nothing, remote does not light up. Is there a cheap universial remote I can get at Target or Walmart that I could get to work. Help, I'm going through Tivo withdrawal :)

sure, from Walmart try the one-for-all urc-6131nw. The pvr device should have code 0618 preset, if the tivo is off hit menu wake it from stabndby. the power key will be empty of a command. You can also get the radio shack 15-2142 for $10, code in it is vcr 0618 or sat 1142.
