I have a DSR704 and a Sonora destacker D575

I had been using a 3 lnb oval dish for signal for the last 10 months. Now trees block the signal and I've had to go with the stacked signal from the apartment complex using the destacker.

I set it up as a round dish with 2 cables being connected.

Sometimes I get a "Searching for signal on satellite ln1. See "Messages & Setup troubleshooting for info""

but the channel the blue box is saying it on is up and working.

I reconnected the dish to test to see if its the destacker and after a long setup due to the reduced signal, I got the same message without the destacker. I don't know if the reduced signal messed up my experiment.

What other ways can I test this thing? Is it my tuner? I don't know what that is but I've seen that mentioned in some posts.

Thanks in advance,
Paul

Swap the inputs to the TiVo to see if it changes to Sat In 2. By removing the destacker you won't get any even TPs, unless you also remove the stacker. Chs 490 and 491 will verify reception for the odd and even TPs on the 101 sat.
