Hi Everyone
I Have A Problem With One Of My Tivos. I Have 2 Tivos Model Tcd2404a.
The Other Tivo Is Working Fine. The Problem With The First Tivo Is That Everytime It Phones Home It Gets Stuck On Negotiating In The Connceting Stage.and I Cant Connect By Network Cause The Soft' Ver. Is 4.0.1b Before The Upgrade To Networking. And The Thing Is That I Got Stuck In The Middle Of Guided Setup.so I Called Support And They Told Me That The Modem Stopped Working And That The Tivo Is Useless. So I Swiched The Harddrives And Tried With The Goog Tivo And I Got The Same Problem Which Means Its Not The Modem Its A Software Problem .
I Would Like To Copy The Good Harddrive (which Has A Better Software Also)
Onto The Bad Harddrive .
I'm Thinking Just To Do An Exact Copy By Connecting Both Harddrives To The Pc.
I Dont Want To Do The Whole Thing With The Image, Cakewalk And Everything. Just To Do An Exact Copy .
Can You Guys Tell Me What Software To Boot Up The Computer With
And What Set Of Commands To Write To Erase Or Format The Bad Drive And Copy The Good One Onto It ?because I'm Not So Good With Linux.
Thanks In Advance Guys
I'll Keep You Posted On How It Went.
