Mounted the dish at my new house today, and while aiming (I don't have the model handy, but I have a signal meter) I noticed that there is about a 4 unit difference between the signal strength of the 2 sides of the LNB

Scale on the meter goes from 0 to 10, when one side of the LNB showed a signal of 8 and I moved the meter to the other cable, the signal was 6... and this was the same difference with two different LNBs

Last house I mounted a dish I don't remember checking both outputs

Is this usual/correct?

From my experience, signal strength is very rarely uniform on different outputs. So long as your receivers are showing a decent signal on its main transponders, then you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

OK... it will be sometime in November before I am able to connect a receiver and TV (currently due to START moving 11/10) so I'll take a look then and report back
