Daily calls made during the day!

My daily calls are now being made (uncommanded), during the day at odd times. They previously were always made in the middle of the night.

I could unplug the phone line, but would rather not do this because of the PPV thing.

Any ideas?

If the calls are becoming inconvenient, but you still want the option of ordering PPV through the remote, unplug it and simply plug the phone line in once a month so that the card info can be downloaded.

The times of those calls will vary. But you should never notice it on your regular phones. The DVR modem should detect if you have a phone in use and wait until the line is free before making its daily call. And most daily calls last less than one minute.

Try forcing a daily call right before you retire for the evening.

This might reset the time between calls, making them more during the night hours.

Mine started out around 4pm, then they migrated earlier to around 8am, now they are in the middle of the night.

The call times change by an hour or so for each call, so the time will rotate through the day and night. The calls only occur every 8 days or so.
