hey all
My family has been a DTV customer for about 7-8 years now. We had 2 tivos, and one HD reciever. When we got the HD reciever, we foudn out we needed a special dish, to view HD programming. The installers came out, and did it, but now, maybe 2 weeks into it, it just stopped working and recieving signal. The weather is fine, no rain or no snow.
Being Disillusioned, we switched over to Comcast(dish buyback), and the guy came out today to install it. thinking it would be good, we turned it on, and started to watch TV. It was a big eye-opener
#1. menu's were buggy and laggy
#2: the programming we want(christian programming) wasnt available, unlike what the rep said over the phone
#3, it was so.... different
#4 It ordered a dirty movie by itself(I kid you not)
The programming is fine, but its a lot harder to record stuff, and the HD difference wasnt that big.
So now, im switching back to DTV.
Family needs:
2 HDTV DVR's(TIVO)
1 Regular DVR(TIVO)
how much would those cost?
one would go in the LIving room TV, and one in my parents room HDTV TIVO, and a HDTV TIVO
all 3 recievers would have to be TIVO stuff.
If anyone has feedback on TIVO for Directv or Comcast service, please let me know your advice about this
Thanks
