Is it possible to enable both the Coax (cable) and Composite/S-Video inputs on a Series 1 (SW: 3.0-01-1-000)?
I've had cable (no cable-box) connected to the coax input for years... no problem.
Today I connected the Composite output from my new Series 3 to the Composite input of my Series 1 (really just playing around)... I then changed to channel 1 on the S1... got nothing... changed to channel 0 and there it was... the S3.
Next I thought... hmm... wonder what would happen if I try to record (knowing full well, I'm not getting an HD recording on the S1), but it said it couldn't find a signal. I went into the channel lineup and now I have a Channel 0... at least I'm assuming it wasn't there before.
Unfortunately, now... when I change to channel 0 all the S1 says is it can't find a signal. So how come the S1 worked when I FIRST changed to channel 0?? And how do I get it back?? And is it possible to get the S1 so I can record from channel 0?
