TiVO Desktop PLUS (2.3 A) has just suddenly stopped converting files to PSP format, after running correctly for months now. I've made no software changes to the PC of any kind. The .tivo files transfer from the TiVO to the desktop OK, but then an error appears stating "PSP Conversion Error: You must run the object to perform this task."

What on EARTH does that mean? I thought I WAS "running the object"!!!! ( A least, it was "running" all this time and I did nothing to make the desktop decide it wasn't....did I?)

I run Ad-Aware, as well as Anti-Virus software whose definitioins are updated quite frequently. All my other data/programs run fine with never a hiccup. (I alkso backup like a fiend every week...

Have tried deleting everything "TiVO" (including reg entries), rebooting, and then re-installing, (TWICE) with NO change in the problem. The quiz-kid I got at TiVO Customer support said several times (for emphasis!) that once the *.tivo files were transferred, TiVO was done, 'finito' and out of the loop; he thought I should "Call Digital River, who writes and supports that software, and ask them." A TiVO genius AND he thinks he's speaks Spanish! I'm sure his parents are very proud. :p

Can anyone shed some light on:
1.) Whom I ACTUALLY should contact for support on this issue?
OR
2.) What the problem might be?
OR
3.) Who the vendor might really be for the PSP Conversion Utility. (Let's assume for a second that, despite TiVO taking my $24.95, THEY don't own the code support....

My PC is a Pentium 3 GHz desktop with 950 Gb's storage space (523 Gb's free), 2 Gb system memory, and 512Mb Vram on the ATI card.

Did I just waste my money on Desktop PLUS?
Is this as good as it gets?
Does the PSP Conversion Utility run for a while and then die?
Please HELP!

:D Same deal here using the Ipod converter..."You need to run the object..."!!! Just dropped 25 bucks for nothing so far, since I haven't have any of the shows I tranferred from tivo do a successful ipod conversion. There is no support from Tivo...!! Any help would be greatly appreciated!!..>Thanks!

Check the log, it may give a better hint of the problem. Go to the directory that the logfinder locates most tivo desktop logs and look at the converter log you find there.
