All day I was unable to watch live TV. Every time I would go live, it would say upgrading cable cards. The info screen said it could take up to 40 min but 8 hours later I finally call Cox and they say both cards are tiered and to call Tivo. I call Tivo and am told the cards are bad and I need to have them replaced.
The S3 would not let me repeat guided setup. I even unplugged it, but it went right back to upgrading cable cards. I ended up yanking the cards and back to analog. Hopefully the new cards coming out will fix it. Any one else have something close to this?

When it happened to be, the problem was entirely on the Time Warner side (every CableCARD in Manhattan was knocked out by a misconfiguration on their end). It took 2-3 days for them to fix the issue (after which my unit returned to normal operation). For others, it was a bad card.

Either way, your unit is basically out of service until the cards are removed, the upgrade completes, or the carrier corrects the problem on their end.
